Custom mechanical keyboards are really cool, but they’re a lot of work. Building your own board requires a lot of research and a lot of time, not to mention the skills and tools required to put the thing together.

Keyboard Concierge can help. We offer full shopping and build services.

It's simple: you tell us what you want, then we find it, build it, and ship it to you.

If you're a beginner, no worries, we'll walk you through every part of the process and explain everything as we go. And if you're an expert, we can help you put together that endgame board you've been dreaming about.

Personal Shopping:

$150 for a standard build, $200 for specially commissioned components.

This is the core of our service. You give us some information about what you want in a keyboard, what your aesthetic is, and any other preferences you might have. Then we source parts and work with you to design a keyboard up to your specifications. Once we're done, we'll bill you for the price of all the components shipped, plus our fee.

**As for keyboard components, the price will vary based on market conditions and the availability of parts. Entry-level builds typically run from $100-$200 in component cost (excluding the personal shopping and build fees), with high-quality builds $200+. For customers interested in premium feel on a budget, one option is to have us refurbish a stock board with some fresh components to stretch your dollar the farthest.

***For certain requests, we may opt to commission custom parts directly from creators in the community, or seek out components on the secondary market. These additional services and attendant fees will be discussed on an as-needed basis.

Build Services:

$100 for no-solder builds, $150 for standard solder builds

Once we've designed it and bought it, we'll be happy to put it together for you, too. This pricing includes putting together the keyboard and testing it to make sure it all works the way it's supposed to, along with any troubleshooting needed along the way.

Basic Modding:

$50, including acoustic tuning and switch lubing.

For an additional $50, we'll be happy to give your board the special treatment to elevate it that one step further. This includes adding foam to the case to decrease any internal rattle as well as lubricating the switches.

If you're not interested in having us build the board for you, you can purchase the chosen components yourself or have them shipped directly to you. If you're interested in any services not listed here, feel free to ask and we can work up a custom quote!
